We topped off the initial blend with our best barrels of 459 and 115 clones to dial up the wine’s fruit driven characteristics, spice, and body. Jumping from the glass is a plethora of delicate spices, ripe cherries and wild strawberries. A rare blend of clones 459 and 114 created an unconventional Pinot Noir. While not typical of our house style, this is a powerhouse wine that pushes the envelope of intensity and fullness. Combining two clones with strong characteristics, coupled with yeast known for extraction, we pulled as much out of the grapes as possible – so much that it’s borderline over the top! 72 cases produced.

This wine is not only beautiful now, but sure to age gracefully. It showcases complex barrel spices and silky smooth cocoa notes from extended barrel aging. 2007 Unoaked Chardonnay, Russian River Valley
This unoaked Chardonnay is fermented separately: made sur-lie with multiple layers of wine from our estate vineyards, each for complex, delicious balance. Bright, lush flavors of fragrant citrus, stone fruits, pineapple, green apple, and mineral notes couple a poised acidity that leads to a clean, long finish. 120 cases produced.2007 Reserve Chardonnay, Russian River Valley
Barrel fermented and aged for over 16 months, sur-lie, this wine is full bodied, lush and fragrant with a long lasting, silky finish. An excellent balance between French oak influences and bright acidity, this chardonnay boasts wonderful minerality combined with aromatic honeysuckle and hints of hazelnuts. Stone fruit flavors including white peach and notes of sweet vanilla round out the flavor of this wine and carry into a lasting finish. 225 cases produced.
2008 Pinot Gris, Russian River Valley
This wine mimics its preceding vintage with slightly lower alcohol and acidity than 2007 gave us. The lees were gently stirred during its aging process, which took place in stainless steel. This wine is very concentrated, bright and floral with lush flavors of apricot, white peach, citrus and subtle minerality. 130 cases produced - only 14 cases left!2008 Reserve Chardonnay, Russian River ValleyBarrel fermented and aged 24 months sur-lie, this wine is lush, fragrant and full flavored, with a lasting, silky finish. 2009 Viognier, Russian River ValleyA block buster wine, limited to three bottles per club member. Partial malolactic style. Fermented both in steel and neutral oak. Complex and delicious, winemakers notes coming soon. Only 1 barrel produced.
2009 Unoaked Chardonnay, Russian River Valley
Intensely fresh, crisp, bright & fruity! Meyer lemon, white peach, and ripe tropical fruit showcase the bold flavors that distinguish the unusually cool 2009 vintage. Night-harvested, the layering of multiple yeast strains, coupled with the “sur-lie” method in stainless steel, concentrates the wine’s pure personality. This exquisite balance of fruit and mineral lingers long after the last sip. 104 cases produced.
2009 Reserve Chardonnay, Russian River Valley
Aged 18 months and stirred in barrel sur-lie, with multiple yeasts at low temperatures and partial malolactic fermentation. Highly concentrated bright, lush flavors of fragrant meyer lemon, ripe citrus, stone-fruits and touches of vanilla and honey with a long, clean and textured finish. Only 5 barrels produced.
2010 Sauvignon Blanc, Russian River Valley
To maximize powerful fruit-forward aromatics and flavors at every step, we hand-harvested the grapes, then fermented in stainless steel at low temperatures with no malolactic fermentation. The extended, cool sur-lie winemaking style enhanced and preserved the marriage of bright acids and incredibly lush character. The wine displays saturated tropical aromatics with layers of candied pineapple, crisp juicy citrus and a long, refreshing close. 150 cases produced.

2010 Pinot Gris, Russian River Valley - $25
Our vineyard’s Pinot Gris is quite different from commercial style Pinot Gris or Pinot Grigio, with richer color, aromatics and flavors. The grape skins are naturally reddish- gray, yielding a uniquely beautiful and flavorful wine due to our fermenting the wine on its colorful skins in the historic tradition of northern France. The result is a distinct peach-like hue with rich texture, good tannic structure and complex layers of fruit-forward flavor. It was hand-harvested, then made sur-lie in stainless steel at low temperatures with no malolactic fermentation. It has bright acid and lush aromatics with layered flavors of honeysuckle, apricot and white peach, mingled with citrus and a long, refreshing close. 95 cases produced.

2010 Unoaked Chardonnay, Russian River Valley
Our Unoaked Chardonnay is made sur-lie with multiple yeasts in stainless steel at low temperatures with no malolactic fermentation. This layering, plus the natural grape acids highly concentrate the wine’s bright, lush flavors of fragrant meyer lemon, ripe citrus, stone fruits, pineapple and white peach finished with a long, clean balance of fruit and minerals. It truly shows the bold intensity of flavors from the unusually cold 2010 vintage. 190 cases produced.
2010 Unoaked Chardonnay-Muscat Clone, Russian River Valley
Our Chardonnay covers a series of cool microclimate vineyards, each planted with unique historic vine cuttings called “clones.” Chardonnay Dijon Clone 809, known as the Muscat Clone, was originally isolated in Burgundy. It is prized in cooler climates for intense floral and tropical aromatics with rich mouth feel which strongly resemble the Muscat grape varietal. This is a rare and delightful single-clone Chardonnay. Just like our flagship Unoaked Chardonnay, this is also made sur-lie in stainless steel at low temperatures with no malolactic fermentation. It showcases the powerful aromatic beauty and lush flavor of the Muscat Clone, with a lengthy, crisp and balanced finish. 65 cases produced.

Our Rosato is made in the tradition on European rosés, being highly aromatic, crisply acidic and fruit driven, yet dry. It’s 100% crush pad fresh Sangiovese juice especially fermented without its red grape skins, stirred gently on its lees with no malolactic fermentation. The result is mouth-watering complex, full bodied Rosé, loaded with flavors of strawberry and raspberry, and fragrant aromas of raspberry watermelon and hints of orange blossom. 90 cases produced.
2009 Late Harvest Muscat Canelli, Russian River Valley - $25 (1/2 bottle, 375ml)This is our first gemstone barrel of Late Harvest Muscat Canelli. 2009 presented perfect conditions for longer hang time to develop richly flavored, botrytised grapes. To concentrate its bright, lush flavors and powerful fragrances, we pressed directly to a neutral barrel, fermented in a long, cool stuyle with gently stirring “sur lie” for months as ripe well-rounded flavors evolved. It showcases honeysuckle and orange blossoms, juicy nectarine and stone fruit preserves, mingles with a hint of spice and sweet hay. Vivid acidity gives a clean, long finish to complement cheeses, foi gras and sweets. It truly reflects its site, a foggy, cobblestone vineyard block, and shows our passion for the art of growing fine wines. 45 cases produced.
2009 Late Harvest Zinfandel, Russian River Valley - $25 (1/2 bottle, 375ml)
The 2009 harvest conditions provided our first chance since 2003 to create a special style of late harvest from our top old clone mountain Zinfandel blocks. The grapes were given extra weeks on the vine to achieve intense character and higher sugar levels, then carefully hand-harvested and vinified to preserve the delicate fruit. The luscious is deep garnet color wine, with silky texture and complex fruit layers of dried cherry and blackberry fruit cobbler, jammy black raspberry, and sweet mission fig with notes of licorice and vanilla spiced caramel. It may remind you of a vintage ruby, but the flavor and finish are cleaner and less cloying on the palate, with less alcohol and sugar. 190 cases produced.
